“The primary task of the Church and of the Christian minister is the preaching of the Word of God.”
― Preaching and Preachers
By Faith
In Hebrews 10, God makes a declaration: "...my righteous ones shall live by faith..." In other words, those who belong to God through Jesus Christ live a certain way. They live by faith. Meaning, they live with confidence in God concerning the future not matter what they face. Hebrews 11 provide examples of Old Testament saints who lived this way. Above their decisions and sacrifices stood a banner "by faith". Then Hebrews 12 tells us, since these faithful saints are witnesses to our lives, we too are called to live by faith and confidence in Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith who lived, endured, and died with his eye on the eternal future as well.
