Our friend, Dr. Robert Plummer (from the Southern Baptist Theological Society in Louisville, KY) wrote a very interesting paper in the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, regarding extra-biblical sources that corroborate (or not) the events on, or around, Good Friday. While the paper was written for a journal that is primarily read by theologians/scholars, this is a work that will serve to encourage each of us. And we’re all theologians anyway, right?! I know that we’re all busy, and reading a paper like this might not make the list of things to do, but I want to encourage you to take 15 minutes and read it…you will be encouraged on this Good Friday.
